Fallout: New Vegas Announced

Bethesda has announced a new entrant into the Fallout franchise, subtitled New Vegas. Details are slim at the moment as Bethesda is remaining tight-lipped, but a few bits of information were provided. The game is being developed by Obsidian Entertainment and is due out sometime in 2010 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. The game is not a direct sequel to Fallout 3, though it is an RPG and Bethesda has said that you can expect the "same type of game," despite the fact that a different developer is working on it.

Bethesda did not go into specifics on gameplay or what engine would be used, but a spokesperson did mention that you can "make educated guesses" on those matters. While we're in the guessing mood, we're guessing the game will be set in a post-apocalyptic Las Vegas. IGN has been told we can expect a full reveal when Obsidian is ready to show it.

Obsidian Entertainment was founded by members of Interplay's Black Isle Studio -- the group that worked on the original Fallout games -- after it was disbanded. Bethesda has said it approached Obsidian regarding this project and an agreement was quickly reached.

Sir, you will never beat the hilarity of the name ExtraSenile Penis. And nope I dont love the Orange Box at all... in fact, whenever you see me online playing it, its a night where I have just decided to give it another chance, and to be honest, Portal is really the only game I think is brilliant in that whole package, purely because its really the only unique game in it. Half-life 2 is boring after a little fun with the g-gun, and TF:2 is really just Timesplitters online with classes. Fallout tho, is not depressing at all. Especially when listening to some happy tunes on the radio while headshotting some super-mutants

We also have to take into consideration that you think final fantasy is good. Therefore, you cant think any game is good, even the ones that i think are good as well.

Crap? It lasts longer than Half-life and its not depressing at all... okay so the world is all Mad-Max "end of the world" n stuff, but it really is fun, and addictive... at least there are actually multiple paths to it, rather than just following a specified path like in Half-life...

you cant slag a game for having one path (especially not Final Fantasy. as if the shitty random battles werent shiity enough, theres still only one path.)
Gears of War has one path, and dont say that you can sometimes pick an alternative one. It leads to the same place in the end.
Call Of Duty= one path as well

Final Fantasy is also a terrible, terrible game.
